Terms and Conditions

Effective July 16, 2026

These terms govern your use of MapBelow (mapbelow.com), including the free well data explorer and the MapBelow Partner Program. By using the site you agree to them.

1. What MapBelow is — and is not

MapBelow displays water well records sourced from state agency public records. Those records can be incomplete, delayed, or imprecisely located, and conditions at nearby wells never guarantee drilling depth, water availability, yield, quality, or cost at your property. MapBelow is a research tool, not an engineering, geological, hydrological, or drilling service, and nothing on the site is professional advice. Always verify with licensed professionals before making decisions or drilling.

2. Acceptable use

The explorer is for individual property research. You agree not to scrape, bulk-download, systematically harvest, or redistribute the well dataset; not to circumvent rate limits or access controls; and not to use automated tools to enumerate searches. We may throttle or block access that looks automated or abusive.

3. Quote requests

When you submit a quote request, you ask us to share your contact details, your proposed drilling location, and a summary of nearby well records with the well drilling contractor that sponsors that county. Contractors on MapBelow are independent businesses — we do not employ, supervise, or guarantee their work, pricing, licensing, or responsiveness. Any agreement you reach with a contractor is between you and them.

4. Partner Program

  • Subscription. Territories are sold as monthly recurring subscriptions, billed per county at the price shown at checkout, processed by Stripe.
  • Founding rate lock. Your per-county rate at signup stays fixed for as long as that subscription remains continuously active. If you cancel and return, current pricing applies.
  • Exclusivity. One well partner per county, applying within the MapBelow platform only. Quote requests from your counties route to you, and your business is featured on those counties in the consumer app.
  • No lead guarantees. Fees pay for platform placement, technology, and lead-routing eligibility. We do not guarantee lead volume, sales, or return on investment.
  • Cancellation. Cancel anytime. You keep the territory through the end of the paid period; it is then released and may be claimed by any other contractor.
  • Non-payment. Territories from past-due subscriptions may be released after a reasonable grace period.

5. Intellectual property

The MapBelow name, logo, site design, software, and data presentation are ours. The underlying public records remain public; our compilation, scoring, and presentation of them are not.

6. Disclaimers and liability

The site is provided "as is" without warrantiesof any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MapBelow's total liability for any claim arising from the site or Partner Program is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or $100 for free users). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including drilling outcomes, lost profits, or decisions made in reliance on the data.

7. Changes and termination

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after a change is acceptance. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms.

8. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA. Questions: support@mapbelow.com.
